How you can help support BASCA

BASCA, Inc. is a beacon of hope for the families of adults with disabilities.

We provide programs and services
ranging from residential group
homes to life skills development day
programs, and in-home support
services.

BASCA depends on the support of our community to help fund the many services we provide. We have been blessed by the support of many local companies that have stepped up to sponsor our events. Additionally, many families and individuals give generously throughout the year.

There are many ways you can support the programs and services we offer at BASCA.

Event Sponsorships & Participation

Each year, BASCA holds two fundraising events, the CapeAbilities 5K/1M Run, Walk & Roll in September and the SUBARU of Jacksonville Golf Classic in April. These events not only raise funds for the programs at BASCA, but help raise awareness of the needs of adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in our community.

We also encourage everyone in the community to take part in these events. They are a great opportunity to have fun and meet others in our community while supporting BASCA.

Planned Giving and Wills

Planned giving, or Legacy giving, is a way to provide a gift through a bequest in your will, establishing an annuity to benefit BASCA or a charitable trust.

Memorials or Tributes

Donors may choose to honor a loved one or make a gift in remembrance of someone who has passed.

Adopt-A-Home

A gift to support one of our four L.I.F.E. residential homes helps to sustain transportation, supportive care, life skills training, and more.

Volunteering

BASCA relies on volunteers to support our annual events and help with the Bargain Boutique. In addition, we welcome anyone with skills such as photography, administrative support, working in the greenhouse, etc.

Friends of BASCA Giving Society

To become a Friends of BASCA Giving Society member, make a recurring pledge to support our efforts over the next two years. We ask you to give according to your ability. A monthly pledge of $35 supports one day in our Life Skills Day Program, and $84 supports one day in a Residential group home.

Charitable Giving

As a nonprofit organization, BASCA relies on the generous donations of individuals, families, and businesses in our community. These fund support our residential and day programs, supportive employment, respite, transportation, life skills training, and more.

Donations to the Bargain Boutique

This one-of-a-kind thrift store sells gently used merchandise. We accept donations of furniture, art, books, clothing, toys, and more. Proceeds are used to support the programs and activities at BASCA.
